Title: Technology Specialist I

Description: The Technology Specialist I is an entry-level position which provides tier 2 technical support for the students and employees of Grove City College. With a focus on software development, this position maintains existing applications and seeks opportunities to improve the client experience through self-service applications and automation. Additionally, this position includes Tablet PC repairs, diagnosis and resolution of issues for various types software and hardware related to classroom, office & educational technology. This position involves direct communication with students and employees.
Requirements: The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in a technology-related major; equivalent experience in a technology-intensive field may be considered. Development experience with PowerShell and C# are required. HP Hardware Repair certification is required but may be obtained during employment. Additional certifications may be required based on duties assigned. Successful candidate must be detailed oriented and have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact on a professional basis with a wide range of constituents, particularly in planning and executing technical resource needs for events and serving as liaison to external parties and vendors. Candidate should be able to maneuver heavy objects and work with heights and confined spaces for event setup/teardown needs; he/she should also be proficient with personal computers in a Windows environment, and have fluency in Microsoft Office. Must be able to type 30 words per minute.
