Title: Assistant Director of Career ServicesOffice/Department: Career Services OfficeDescription: Grove City College’s Career Services Office is looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Director who will be primarily responsible for managing the first destination survey and career outcomes data collection process, helping to develop compelling content and analyze data (statistics, student success stories, etc.) for external audiences and annual reports, leading and overseeing efforts for the College’s annual fall Career Fair, and serving as the liaison for our Handshake system, among other responsibilities outlined by the Director. He/she will assist in advancing the mission of the office by providing career guidance to students in the realms of self-assessment, career exploration, internship and job search advising, among other areas, and guiding students through the process of realizing and pursuing their vocational callings. Additionally, the Assistant Director will aid students in the career development process through other means, including presenting workshops, giving classroom presentations, as well as leading, developing and coordinating career-related programs and events, including our Professionalism & Etiquette Night and Alumni Mock Interviewing program. This position will be responsible for developing positive and professional relationships with an array of key stakeholders, including students, employers, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents. With respect to faculty, this individual will serve as a liaison to five academic departments on campus and be charged with developing initiatives and programs to cultivate relationships with the students and professors in those programs. Requirements: Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education administration, college student development, counseling, human resources or related field strongly preferred. Two to five years of experience in career development/services, student development, higher education, recruiting or human resources is also highly preferred.The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication ability, attention to detail, multi-tasking and time management skills, organizational acumen, analytical and research skills along with a desire to work on a high-impact, energetic, collaborative team. Technical aptitude and proficient computer skills are vital. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to meeting student and employer needs, and be able to maintain a professional, positive and service-oriented attitude. Finally, the individual must be aligned with the overarching Christian mission of the college and office, contributing to its mission of helping students realize and pursue their vocational callings.
