How big of a role did the affordability of Grove City College play in your college decision making process?
A huge role. For a private school, Grove City College is one of the most cost-friendly ones out there. By attending Grove City College to get my degree rather than a more expensive school, I exponentially decreased the amount of debt I will be in upon graduating while still guaranteeing myself a quality education.

Do you feel like you made any concessions to come to a school that is reasonably priced?
It was quite an easy decision to come to a reasonably priced school like Grove City College where I knew my quality of education would not decrease with the cost. I will get a meaningful degree for a fraction of the cost of some other schools.

How has your faith been strengthened and perhaps even challenged during your time here?
My faith has definitely been strengthened while at Grove City College. As a high school student, I was unable to attend church as much as I should have due to sport obligations. Since coming here I have found the importance of going again.

How would you describe the level of academics you have experienced during your time at Grove City College?
The academics here are challenging but at the same time rewarding.

What drew you to choose biology as your major?
As a kid growing up, I was always fascinated with why things were the way they are (especially people and animals.) So naturally, I leaned towards science classes in grade school. I also always wanted to be able to help people so biology became the obvious path. Since being here, the curriculum has further strengthened my choice.

What is the relationship like between the students and the professors?
Wonderful. Office hours are a good time to ask questions and get to know professors better. Research opportunities are also available and are another unique experience with faculty. I am a TA for a couple of labs, which also offers a chance to get to know faculty more personally and see them as more than just your professors.

What do you find to be the most unique aspect of Grove City College?
Student to faculty ratio. You really appreciate that when you get into research and office hours. The classes are much more personal than at a state school, and teachers are more available, and willing, to help if you seek them out.

How active are students in campus activities such as intramural, Greek life, sports, clubs, musical productions etc.?
Very involved for all of the things listed. You can see that just by walking around the campus. You will see tons of people in Greek life garb on any day of the week, IM, club, and varsity sports teams frequently use athletic fields, and many clubs are available to join.

And can you describe some of your own personal experiences in these campus activities?
I try to do as many IM sports as possible, but limit myself a little so it does not affect academics. At a bare minimum, I try to play IM basketball and football every year. I try to catch a varsity basketball, baseball, soccer, or football game whenever I have free time.
