Why did you choose to study abroad?
I chose to study abroad, because I love to see new places and explore different areas. I love to experience the culture of a new place, and feel the excitement and thrill of traveling to new places. I wanted to meet new people and experience life through their eyes. I cherish the ability to have once in a lifetime opportunities and experiences.

How did you choose the country you went to?
I chose France primarily because it is the only place an engineer can study abroad. Honestly, I probably would never have picked it for myself, but I am so glad that I had the chance to go there!

Share one unique experience that happened while you were abroad.
While travelling in Italy, we stayed with my friend’s relatives. They took us all over Milan and even up to Lake Como. The first night we stayed there, we went downtown where there was a small Christmas market set up in the central square. It had drink vendors, food and even an ice skating rink! It is the best Christmas market I have ever been to, right out of a fairytale book.  Her relatives knew of the best café, and took us inside and bought us the best hot chocolate I have ever had with a little truffle! The little things are definitely what make studying abroad the best experience of your life! I would absolutely adore going back, and plan to someday!

How has it changed you?
It has changed me so much. I have grown more than I could have ever imagined throughout my study abroad program. I matured so much, and I have so much more perspective on differing cultures. I went through so many experiences that I look back on and just smile about, I would go back in a heartbeat!
