In addition to the College core curriculum, students
complete in-depth study of linear and abstract algebra, calculus,
classical analysis and more .
Majors in mathematics leading to 7-12 certification in mathematics take 88 credit hours of major coursework and are exposed to real-life teaching situations during field experiences and student teaching, as well as extra-curricular engagement with the department’s events and honoraries.
Recently, students majoring in mathematics have interned at Buck Consulting, Towers Perrin, Erie Insurance and more.
Students studying mathematics at Grove City College also have the option to concentrate their studies in actuarial sciences.
