Grove City College presents ‘Les Miserables’

10/10/2013

Grove City College presents its fall musical, “Les Miserables,” from Oct. 29 – Nov. 2, in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. each night.

The musical is directed by Chair of Department of English and Professor Dr. James Dixon III. “Les Miserables” is an inspirational musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, based on the novel by Victor Hugo.

Set in early 19th-century France, Les Misérables tells the story of popular characters Jean Valjean, a paroled convict; Javert, a police inspector; Fantine, a prostitute; her daughter Cosette; and many others and as they battle with broken dreams, sacrifice, love, reconciliation and redemption.

“Along with the entire cast and crew, I look forward to sharing with you this inspirational musical of grace and redemption as we bring it to life right here on Grove City College’s campus,” Dr. Dixon said.

Tickets for all performances are sold out. Anyone with questions may email theatertickets@gcc.edu or call 724-458-3331.
