Full-Time Philosophy ProfessorOffice/Department:
Grove City College announces a full-time faculty opening in the Department of Philosophy beginning in July 2014. Ph.D. in Philosophy required. Area of specialty is open. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach in one or more of the following areas: Early Modern Philosophy, Continental Philosophy, Biomedical Ethics, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Science, Philosophy of Language, Aesthetics, or Logic. Responsibilities include teaching a variety of upper and lower level undergraduate courses in the Philosophy department, as well as some teaching in the core curriculum. Teaching load is four courses per semester.
Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of classroom teaching and scholarship within their field. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications.
