SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Students from the department have the opportunity for summer positions with high-tech companies in the area and throughout the country. Some companies that have provided jobs recently include: PPG (Pittsburgh), B3 Solutions (Pittsburgh), BAE Systems (Washington, DC), and TrueFit Solutions (Pittsburgh). In addition, some students choose to do projects at research universities. These projects give students a chance to experience research in a graduateschool setting. Recently, students have gone to The University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), The Pennsylvania State University, and North Carolina State University.

The College has established a good track record with employers like TrueFit Solutions, Xerox, Alcoa, Buck Consulting, USX, GE, Mellon Bank, PPG, Towers Perrin, and many others who have hired our graduates. There are many opportunities for our graduates in small or large businesses, high tech companies consulting, industry, education, financial institutions, health care, government, military and others. Graduate school is also an attractive option for the motivated student who wants to study computers further. Majors have attended graduate schools such as the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie-Mellon University, University of Illinois, University of Maryland, Akron University, and others.
