spacer
September 19, 2008

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College’s Department of Entrepreneurship will present “Pathways to Entrepreneurship,” a live worldwide webcast from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology featuring women entrepreneurs, at 7 p.m. Sept. 23 in the Hall of Arts and Letters Room 208 on campus. The program is free and open to the public.

The forum will discuss launching a high-tech startup company from a female entrepreneur’s point of view, addressing unique challenges that women face in entrepreneurship. The audience will have an opportunity to submit questions to the panel ahead of time or via e-mail during the presentation. The program is a webcast of the MIT Enterprise Forum, Inc., which builds connections to technology entrepreneurs.

The forum consists of moderator Candida G. Brush, division chair in entrepreneurship at Babson College in Babson Park, Mass.; Robin Chase, founder of ZipCar, GoLoco.org and Meadow Networks, Priya Iver, president of Anaqua; Susan Lindquist, professor of biology at MIT and scientific founder of FoldRx Pharma; and Jules Pieri, chief executive officer of Daily Grommet.

The webcast is part of MIT-published “Technology Review’s” EmTech08 Conference, the magazine’s eighth annual emerging technologies conference. The conference brings together world-renowned innovators and senior business leaders to discuss emerging technologies which have the potential to make a major impact on the world. The conference is a three-day summit of business leaders, venture capitalists, senior technologists and prominent innovators being held at MIT in Cambridge, Mass.
