WIND ENSEMBLE AND SYMPHONIC CONCERT BAND TO PERFORM |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Concert Band will perform the first of two concerts this spring semester at 8 p.m. on March 19 in the Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
The concert will be conducted by Dr. Edwin P. Arnold, chair of the department of music and fine arts. Arnold also serves as director of the Pew Fine Arts Center and as professor of music.
Selections for wind ensemble include: “Rise of the Firebird” by Steven Reineke, “Skysplitter!” by Vincent Oppido, “Circus Franticus” by Julie Giroux and “With Pleasure” by Sousa.
The symphonic concert band selections include: “All the Way” by Col. Eugene Allen, “American Salute” by Morton Gould, “On Wings of Angels” by Barry Milner, “Folk Dances” by Dmitri Shostakovich, “Acadian Jubilee” by Robert Frost Jr., “Beyond the Horizon” by Rossano Galante and “Americans We” by Henry Fillmore.
