GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Office of International Education at Grove City College recently announced that two students have been accepted for study in Northern Ireland in the spring of 2009 as part of the Irish-American Scholars Program.
Sophomore Kelsey Marie Drefs of Elkhorn, Wis., will attend the University of Ulster. The entrepreneurship major is involved in intramural sports, Orientation Board, Operation Top Management, Helping Hands and is a student assistant in the Department of Entrepreneurship.
Sophomore Bethany McCune of Murrysville, Pa., will also attend the University of Ulster. McCune is a communication studies major with minors in political science, mathematics and pre-law. On campus, she is involved in New Life, works with the Meadville Humane Society and is an avid horseback riding instructor.
This is the third semester that Grove City College students have been selected by other institutions to study abroad. This spring, more than 35 students are studying internationally – seven times more than three years ago.
