TWO STAFFERS JOIN COLLEGE DEVELOPMENT TEAM |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Development Office has hired two new staff members to join the College’s Advancement team.
Elicia (Mack ’02) Winner has been named Director of Annual Giving. She has five years of annual giving and campaign experience as marketing coordinator with the United Way of Western Crawford County (Pennsylvania). At Grove City College, she will be responsible for the annual giving program called Full Circle, as well as fund raising events and yearly phone-a-thons.
Winner graduated from Grove City with a degree in marketing management. Her volunteer work includes helping to coordinate Make A Difference Day in Crawford County, an annual event that matches 1,300 volunteers with 125 community projects. She resides in Meadville her husband, Brian. Winner began working at her alma mater on March 17.
Melinda Miller has been hired as Director of Foundation, Corporation and Church Relations, a newly created position at the College. Most recently, she served as Director of Communications at Shadyside Academy, a private Pre-K-12 school in Pittsburgh where she was part of the team that raised $41 million during the school’s most recent campaign.
A native of Newport, R.I., Miller relocated to western Pennsylvania in 1997. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Philosophy from SUNY Albany and Boston College, respectively. She has worked primarily in the field of communications in both the private and public sectors. Previously, Miller held positions at the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, Technosystems Service Corporation and The Albany (NY) Downtown Business Improvement District.
Miller volunteers at the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Business Marketing Association and with Slippery Rock’s Annual Village Fest. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in communication and rhetorical studies at Duquesne University. She and her husband, Chuck Morse, split their time between homes in Slippery Rock and Pittsburgh. Miller will join the Grove City College team on April 14.
Grove City College Advancement is made up of the Development, Alumni Relations and Communications Offices. Led by Vice President for Advancement Jeff Prokovich ’89, the Advancement team seeks to support the mission of the College through publications, fund raising and events and by building relationships with more than 24,000 alumni, along with friends and foundations.
