Travel interims are Grove City College courses which take students to other parts of the world, or sometimes to other parts of the United States, for study. These courses are taught by GCC faculty, usually over a two-week period, during which students typically earn three hours of academic credit. These programs are generally scheduled during the summer, often immediately following the spring semester.
The GCC Travel Interim program is now well established, and hundreds of students have benefited from the unique experience which study and travel with GCC faculty can bring. Many GCC faculty, from a variety of disciplines, are active in conducting travel interim courses. Here is a sampling of recent and current travel interim courses.
Students from across many disciplines have earned credit through an archeological/biblical studies excursion to Israel and the Holy Land.
Pre-med students have participated in clinical field experiences abroad in a number of countries, including Kenya, Malaysia and Brazil.
Education majors have explored education issues in London and Oxford, England.
Business majors have experienced and studied international business issues in Russia, and also in France.
