GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Touring Choir has been selected to perform at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association’s annual conference on April 23 in Valley Forge, Pa. At the conference, the Alumni Relations Office will also host a reception for alumni music educators in attendance.
Choir director Dr. Douglas Browne, professor of music, submitted an audition tape to the Association and the group was selected, along with several other choirs, to perform. The Grove City College Touring Choir is a select group of about 40 singers, representing a variety of academic majors. Members tour annually during the week of Easter break and also sing at churches and schools in the western Pennsylvania area and at campus events.
The Touring Choir will also travel to White Clay Creek Presbyterian Church in Delaware for a 7:30 p.m. concert on April 22. The concert was planned to coincide with the Choir’s concert at the PMEA event.
The two April concerts come on the heels of the Touring Choir’s Easter trip to churches in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland.
