THE HEINZ ENDOWMENTS APPROVE GRANT TO COLLEGE |

GROVE CITY, Pa. –The Heinz Endowments has awarded a grant to Grove City College for $5,000 in the area of early childhood education. The purpose of the grant is to study the professional development needs of prekindergarten educators and administrators in the Mercer, Venango, Lawrence and Butler counties.
The study is being conducted by members of the Education Department at Grove City College along with undergraduate students with the ultimate goal of facilitating and providing high quality professional development for early childhood educators in the region.
The Endowments’ mission is to promote progress in economic opportunity, arts and culture, education, children, youth and families and the environment. The foundation seeks to accomplish this goal by supporting Grove City College and other institutions and programs.
The Endowments supports efforts to make southwestern Pennsylvania a premier place to live and work, a center for learning and educational excellence and a region that embraces diversity and inclusion.
