GROVE CITY, Pa. – Several Grove City College senior music majors will present their senior recitals in the coming weeks. All recitals will be in the Recital Hall of the Pew Fine Arts Center on the Grove City College campus.
Rachael Johnson of Watsontown, Pa., and Aaron Kroenke of Bethel Park, Pa., will present a joint recital at 2 p.m. March 25. Johnson, on violin, and Kroenke, on piano, will offer selections by Bach, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Debussy and Stravinsky. Johnson, taught by Mary Moser, is a daughter of Bill and Gale Johnson of Watsontown. Kroenke, instructed by Terri Konzen, is a son of Wayne and Monica Kroenke.
At 2:30 p.m. March 26, Jennifer Parker of Mercer, Pa., will present her soprano recital featuring selections by Schumann, Faure, Gounod, Schubert and MacDowell. Instructed by Judith Hughes, she is a daughter of Bonnie Parker.
Lindsay Vanek of Chardon, Ohio, will present her recital at 2:30 p.m. April 2. She will perform euphonium selections by Handel, Capuzzi, Schumann, Nelson and Haan. A daughter of Derek and Rachel Vanek, she is instructed by Michael Formeck and Susan Sexton.
All College recitals are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
Grove City College is listed as one of the Most Competitive colleges in the nation by Barron’s.
