GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College junior Kyle Earnshaw, an English major from West Chester, Pa., has been selected to study abroad at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland as part of the Irish-American Scholars Program. Earnshaw will spend the 2007 fall semester at the university’s campus in the town of Coleraine.
The Irish-American Scholars Program is sponsored by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), The United Methodist Church and The Roman Catholic Church. It is made possible through the Association of Presbyterian Colleges and Universities and in cooperation with the Business Education Initiative of Northern Ireland, Queens University, University of Ulster and Belfast Institution of Further and High Education.
The Irish-American Scholars Program is one of a number of study abroad opportunities offered by the College’s Office of International Education. In addition to the scholars program, the office facilitates semester-long and summer international programs, as well as short-term study abroad opportunities through faculty-led trips. On average, about 150 students study abroad every year.
