GROVE CITY, Pa. – Deborah Snyder, associate director of education career services at Grove City College, was elected by her colleagues to serve as the 2011-12 president of the Pittsburgh Education Recruitment Consortium (PERC), an association of 27 colleges and universities in the western Pennsylvania region.
As president of the consortium, Snyder will lead an elected group of board members to oversee the PERC 2012 teacher job fair. The annual PERC teacher job fair is a well respected regional and national recruitment event, typically attracting more than 1,300 candidates.
Representatives at the PERC job fair on March 21, 2012, will include employers of certified teachers from across the United States. Participating employers interview and hire teacher candidates in all PreK-12 disciplines and related certification areas, including therapies, counseling and administration.
