SENIORS TO PRESENT MUSIC RECITALS IN APRIL |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College music students will perform senior recitals April 6, 12 and 13. The recitals are set for the Recital Hall of the Pew Fine Arts Center on the Grove City College campus and are free and open to the public.
Emily Barner of Syracuse, N.Y., will present a joint recital with Kim Thomas of Harrisburg, Pa., at 2:30 p.m. April 6. Barner will perform clarinet selections from Claude Debussy, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Miklos Rozsa and Carl Maria von Weber. A daughter of Bryan and Beth Barner, she is a student of Louis Collela. She will be accompanied by Alex Frazier.
Thomas, a music major, will perform trumpet selections from Georges Fredrich Haendel, Paul Hindemith, Johann Nepomuk Hummel and Antonio Vivaldi. A daughter of Richard and Debra Thomas, she is a student of Drew Fennell. She will be accompanied by Aaron Biller.
Anna Brashears of Robbinsdale, Minn., will present a joint recital with Evelyn Talmage of Walker, Iowa, at 2 p.m. April 12. Brashears will perform clarinet selections from Mozart, Brahms, Hindemith and Malcolm Arnold. A daughter of Clay and Phylis Brashears, she is a student of Louis Colella and is a music performance major. She will be accompanied by Elizabeth Miller.
Talmage will perform oboe selections from Mozart, G.P. Telemann, J.S. Bach and Benjamin Britten. A daughter of Greg and Alice Talmage, she is a student of Kristy Hunsman. She will be accompanied by Elizabeth Miller and the Cantita Woodwind Quintet. Talmage is a music performance major.
Tara Jo Sansom of Brookville, Pa., will present a joint recital with Sarah Galvis of Wexford, Pa., at 2:30 p.m. April 13. Sansom will perform violin selections from Bach, Mozart and Henryk Wieniawski. A daughter of Joe and Jewel Sansom, she is instructed by Mary Moser. A music education major, she will be accompanied by Daniel Peterson.
Galvis will perform flute selections from Michio Miyagi, Franz Doppler, Joaquin Rodrigo and Jules Mouquet. A daughter of Frances Galvis, she is a student of David Tessmer. She will be accompanied by Elizabeth Miller and will perform a duet with Bethany Portz. Galvis is a music education major.
