SENIORS TO PRESENT MUSIC RECITALS APRIL 22, 28 |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College music students will perform the academic year’s final senior recitals April 22 and 28. Both will be in the Recital Hall of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus and are free and open to the public.
Kathryn Meyer of Greenville, Pa., will present a joint recital with Daniel Varian at 2:30 p.m. April 22. Meyer’s performance will include mezzo-soprano vocal selections from George Frideric Handel, Johannes Brahms and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. A daughter of Carl and Kathy Meyer, she is a student of Judith Hughes. She will be accompanied by pianist Jonathan Priano.
Varian of Titusville, Pa., will perform baritone vocal selections from Henry Purcell, George Frideric Handel, Gaetano Donizetti, Robert Schumann, Henri Duparc, Gabriel Fauré, Charles Gounod, William Schuman, Gerald Finzi and Ernest Charles. A son of David and Barbara Varian and student of Dr. Douglas Browne, he will be accompanied by Sarah Seaman on the piano.
Ashley Ream of Palmyra, Pa., will present a joint recital with Matthew R. Zahn at 2 p.m. April 28. Ream will perform mezzo-soprano vocal selections from Arcangelo Corelli, Sergei Rachmaninoff, George Frideric Handel, Peter Tchaikovsky and Gustav Mahler. A daughter of Robin and Lee Ann Ream, she is a student of Judith Hughes and will be accompanied by Andrea Corso on the piano.
Zahn of Aliquippa, Pa., a son of Larry and Lisa Zahn, will perform trombone selections from Arcangelo Corelli, Eugène Bozza, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Kazimierz Serocki and Dr. David Uber. A student of Douglas May, he will be accompanied by pianist Mark Dickinson.
