Dr. Scott Cairns, a poet, scholar and teacher, spoke at Grove City College's 2009 Christian Writers Conference March 26 on “Leaning into Poetry and Prayer.”
One of his talks focused on “Recovering the Poetic for the Contemporary ‘Poem'.” An accomplished poet, scholar, and teacher, Cairns is currently professor of English and director of the Creative Writing Program at the University of Missouri. He teaches modern and contemporary American literature and directs the Center for the Literary Arts.
