Jeff Prokovich, Grove City College’s senior director of alumni and college relations, was named the vice president for institutional advancement by College President Richard Jewell ’67 today. His position is effective July 1.
Prokovich, a 1989 graduate of Grove City College, began at his alma mater in September 2001, first leading the Alumni Relations Office and then adding internal and external relations to his job description. Under Prokovich, the Alumni Relations staff was expanded, alumni events around the country increased, Homecoming became a benchmark event on campus and alumni publications were dramatically improved.
He replaces Tom Pappalardo, who spent nine years at the College as vice president for institutional advancement. Under Pappalardo, a fund-raising and development team was built from one to 11 employees, the College completed a successful $68 million capital campaign and relationship-building among alumni, friends and foundations became a priority.
Prokovich earned his master’s degree in organizational leadership from Geneva College in 1999. Prior to his time at Grove City College, he served in several key positions at the Hospital Council of Western Pennsylvania and Amerinet, a national group purchasing association serving the health care industry.
Prokovich and his wife, the former Gwen McDonald, a 1989 graduate of Grove City College, have two daughters, Morgan and Maggie. They reside in Ellwood City.
