Founded in 1876, Grove City College is a truly independent private Christian college of liberal arts and sciences. The College is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
A coeducational college, Grove City currently enrolls approximately 2,500 students. Grove City’s student body represents 42 states and many foreign countries. The Class of 2013, with 634 students, is comprised of 57 valedictorians and 26 salutatorians and has an average SAT score of 1259.
Grove City College offers undergraduate degrees in liberal arts, sciences, engineering and music, with 55 majors and
six pre-professional programs.
Although loosely affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), Grove City College is not narrowly denominational. It enrolls students interested in integrating faith and learning within an evangelical and reformed environment.
Grove City College has been listed as one of the Most Competitive colleges in the nation and a Best Buy in College Education by Barron’s. Likewise, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute calls Grove City one of 50 All-American Colleges and ranked it fourth in the nation for increasing students’ knowledge of American history. Grove City College has been named by U.S. News & World Report a Best Value and one of the best colleges in America. The Young America’s Foundation calls Grove City one of the Top Ten Conservative Schools in the country. Grove City College is also one of Princeton Review’s America’s Best Value Colleges. Founded in 1876, it is located 60 miles north of Pittsburgh, Pa. With an enrollment of 2,450 students, it is a private Christian college teaching the liberal arts, sciences and engineering. It is an advocate of the free market economic system and accepts no federal funding. Tuition is about half of the national average for private colleges.
From its founding days, the College has endeavored to give students the best in liberal and scientific education at the lowest possible cost, and in keeping with its historical policy, still maintains one of the lowest costs of any independent, selective college.
