In recent years, Grove City College has cultivated student interest in some of the most elite and highly competitive post-graduate fellowships in the world. Our students have had, by beginning standards, quite a bit of success and we are very hopeful that our students will continue to distinguish themselves in ways that make them attractive candidates for these prestigious awards. Normally, students are solicited by the Director of Academic Advising based on any number of factors including but not limited to: SAT scores, GCC Q.P.A, or faculty recommendation. Additionally students should feel free to declare their interest in these awards themselves by contacting Mr. Beatty. If students are interested in pursuing these awards, they are strongly advised to contact
Kathleen Leonard, Director of Academic Advising, as early in their undergraduate studies as possible. The preparation for most of these awards is, in very real sense, one’s entire life, but more specific and particular preparation begins during the Junior year. Applications for Rhodes, Marshall, and Fulbright Scholarship programs are all in early Fall. The deadlines for the Jack Kent Cooke and Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholarships are in the early and late Spring, respectively.
