GROVE CITY, Pa. – Thomas Faught, author of “So You Want to be a CEO,” will present at the J. Paul Sticht ’39 Memorial Lecture in Business and Ethics at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, in Sticht Lecture Hall of the Hall of Arts and Letters on campus. Faught’s presentation, “The Ethical CEO,” is free and open to the public. A reception will be held in Wickerham Atrium immediately following the lecture.
Faught, an adjunct professor of business strategy at Carnegie Mellon University, has instructed MBA candidates in leadership and CEO development since 2001. He is also managing director of FMG Limited in Murrysville, Pa., an industrial advisory firm operating mainly in China and Southeast Asia, serving private sector and foreign governments in economic and industrial planning.
Since 2003, Faught has worked as an advisor to the commanding officer of the United States Joint Forces Command component organization, overseeing development of strategic plans and advising on organization and management.
In his distinguished career, Faught has served numerous roles, including senior advisor for the United States Congressional Commission on Multinational Financing Institutions; assistant secretary of the Navy; president and chief executive officer of Dravo Corporation; advisor to the director at the Central Intelligence Agency; chairman of the advisory board of directors for the Export-Import Bank of the United States, senior corporate development officer of Gould Inc.; associate and regional manager of Booz, Allen & Hamilton; and foreman, general foreman and engineering supervisor at Ford Motor Company.
