What is the Parents' Association?
The Parents' Association is comprised of all parents and legal guardians of current students of Grove City College. The purpose is to engage parents in the life of the College and incorporate them as an active volunteer part of the College Community.
What is the Parents' Advancement Council (PAC)?
The Parents' Advancement Council is the executive arm of the Parents' Association. As a volunteer arm of the Office for Institutional Advancement, the focal point of the PAC is the development and implementation of programs that involve, stimulate, and provide a meaningful volunteer experience to parents while bringing tangible and intangible benefits to the College.
Why should parents become involved?
- Parents, by setting a positive example, encourage students to give of themselves.
- Parents can provide valuable feedback to the President's Office from a consumer's perspective concerning programs for the benefit of parents, students and the College.
- Through the PAC committees, parents are able to be involved in a vital part of their young adult's education.
- Parents can help other parents understand the uniqueness of Grove City College (besides the lower than average tuition!)
How will Grove City College parent's gifts benefit students?
Parents' gifts to the College are many. Besides entrusting the lives of their children and making monetary gifts to the College, parents can give their time and talents to positively impact current and future programs that provide a "Margin of Excellence" to an already outstanding academic program.
How often does the Parents' Association meet?
The Parents' Association has one meeting each year on Parents' Weekend in May. The PAC meets at least twice year - a luncheon meeting just prior to the last home football game and a meeting with the President of the College just prior to the Parents' Association meeting in May. Other telephone conferences and e-conferences may be held during the year to offer parents opportunities to volunteer their time and help advance the mission of the College.
