PARADE TRAVELS THROUGH CAMPUS AND OLDE TOWN |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College’s 2011 Homecoming Parade route will wind through campus before traveling into the heart of Olde Town Grove City. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. on Sept. 24.
The route starts on the lane between the varsity soccer fields and Mary Ethel Pew Hall and will exit campus onto Pine Street and west toward Broad Street. The parade will turn left at the intersection of Pine and Broad streets and end at the intersection of Broad and Main streets.
The theme of the parade, “Sorry, LIFE is a Risk. It’s up to you to solve it,” features student crafted floats inspired by board games, the Wolverine Marching Band, Grove City High School band and several other high school marching bands. Community members are welcome to enjoy the Homecoming parade downtown and through the campus.
Temporary road closures due to the parade include Madison Street from Pine to Main streets, closed 9 – 11 a.m.; Pine Street at Madison to Broad streets, closed 11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.; Broad to Poplar streets, closed 11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.; and Poplar Street to Greenwood Drive, closed 11 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
