Outside Scholarships
Scholarships from private sources outside of Grove City College provide an additional source of financial assistance for students. Students should check with their guidance office, parents’ place of employment, church, and local service organizations for outside scholarship opportunities. The College Board web-site, www.collegeboard.org, provides a scholarship search tool.
Read the GCC Outside Scholarship Policy for the student requirements and guidelines on how outside scholarships will be administered by the College.

GCC students who are members of the Presbyterian Church USA(PCUSA) (or a student greatly involved with a Presbyterian Church ministry but might not be a member verified by the pastor) and are living within The Synod of the Trinity (PA, WV and Upper Ohio Valley) are eligible to apply for this need-based scholarship. The scholarship is offered to students who show a demonstrated financial need and a commitment to Presbyterian leadership.
By April 10th, the GCC Financial Aid Office must receive the GCC Financial Aid Application, including all accompanying documents, along with the Synod Financial Aid page-only. Submit the balance of the Synod Application to the Synod according to their instructions.
Lola G. Duff and William H. Duff, II Scholarship Fund

This $80 million fund has college scholarships for Allegheny County, PA residents. Students must be Protestant, have two years of schooling in Allegheny County (either public, private or home) and must be planning to attend college full time. Applications available on-line in February.

Incoming freshmen who are members of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) can apply. Awards are based on character, leadership, academic achievement and financial need. Application deadline is January 31.
GCC will be asked to provide financial need information, so students must complete the GCC Financial Aid Application.
Presbyterian Scholarship Fund
Incoming freshmen who are members of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in the Presbyteries of Beaver-Butler, Kiskiminetas, Lake Erie, Pittsburgh, Redstone, Shenango, Upper Ohio Valley or Washington are eligible to apply for this scholarship based on academic achievement and financial need. One recipient from the incoming class is selected each year. The award is renewable for four years. Applications are available from your pastor or the GCC Financial Aid Office and are submitted to the GCC Financial Aid Office by April 15th.

Shenango Presbytery Scholarship

The Pittsburgh Promise Scholarship
Available to graduates of the Pittsburgh Public Schools and charters, regardless of financial need or income who has been a student in the district and a resident of Pittsburgh continuously since at least the 9th grade, earn a minimum of 2.25 GPA (Class of 2009) and a 2.5 GPA (Class of 2010); maintain a minimum of 85% attendance record (Class of 2009) and a 90% attendance record (Class of 2010) and earn admission to Grove City College. Pittsburgh Promise website.
