ORCHESTRA PRESENTS WINTER CONCERT FEB. 12 |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Symphony Orchestra will present its winter concert at 8 p.m. Feb. 12 in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public; no tickets are required.
The orchestra will perform four favorites, opening the program with “Scherzo Capriccioso” by Antonin Dvorak and “Danse Macabre” by Camille Saint-Saëns.
The Grove City College Chamber Orchestra will also perform Hugo Wolf’s “Italian Serenade.” Known primarily as a composer of art songs, Wolf’s work had its origins as a string quartet and was later orchestrated for small orchestra.
The program will close with Edward Elgar’s “Enigma Variations Op. 36.”
