ORCHESTRA CONCERT CELEBRATES DANCE |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Orchestra will present a concert celebrating dance at 8 p.m. Feb. 16 in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on the Grove City College campus. Selections performed will include a march, a waltz, Renaissance dances, Baroque dances and ballet. The Grove City College String Chamber Orchestra will also perform.
Concert selections will include: “Radetzky March” by Johann Strauss Sr.; “Tales from Vienna Woods” by Johann Strauss Jr., conducted by senior Christopher Aitken of North Canaan, Conn.; “Concert XI” by Arcangelo Corelli, with the String Chamber Orchestra; “Ancient Airs and Dances, Suite No. 1” by Ottorino Respighi; and “Rodeo” by Aaron Copland.
The Orchestra is under the direction of Dr. Richard Konzen, professor of music and college organist. The concert is free and open to the public.
