spacer ORCHESIS DANCES 'BACK TO THE FUTURE'

GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City College Orchesis Dance Troupe will present “Orchesis: Back to the Future” Nov. 30-Dec. 2 in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on the Grove City College campus. Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. each day, with a 2 p.m. matinee performance Dec. 2.

The student-led group annually performs a fall show with student-choreographed and -performed dances. Tickets are free and will be available in the Student Union on campus from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. beginning Nov. 27.

Musical selections and choreographers are as follows: “Don’t Stop Me Now,” junior Kaitlin Frum of Clarksburg, W.Va.; “Gracias Por la Música,” seniors Nick and Morgan Hendrix of Sanibel Island, Fla.; “The Cross,” senior Melanie Beil of Farmdale, Ohio; “Put Your Records On,” Frum; “Hip Hop,” senior Elissa Marti of New Wilmington, Pa.; “Hung Up (Dance Team),” senior Kayla Carpenter of Montoursville, Pa.; “Why You Wanna Trip On Me,” senior Stephanie Warner of Pittsford, N.Y.; “Coppelli,” senior Elizabeth Bryan of Leipsic, Ohio; “Namaraka,” senior Erin Magee of Cincinnati, Ohio; “Hide and Seek,” senior Bridget O’Leary of Ipswich, Mass.; “I Ain’t No Quitter,” senior Ashley Clark of Strasburg, Pa., and senior Peter Buckingham of Clinton, Md.; “24,” senior Kelly Chappell of Coraopolis, Pa.; “Footloose,” senior Joy Gardiner of Fredericktown, Ohio, and junior Emily Dalpiaz of Canton, Ohio; “Superstition,” junior Kelli Stewart of Grove City; “The Real Me,” junior Kara Ley of Wellsboro, Pa.; “Step Up,” senior Shannon Metzler of Strasburg, Pa.; “Joyful, Joyful,” Chappell and Frum; “The Power of Love,” Chappell.

Performance emcees are senior John Tiernan of Glenshaw, Pa., and senior Casey Antenucci of Imperial, Pa. Chappell is head senior choreographer and Frum is junior choreographer.
