GROVE CITY, Pa. – The fall production by Orchesis Dance Troupe at Grove City College will take audiences through a range of songs celebrating “guys” and “dolls.” Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 through 14 and also at 3 p.m. Nov. 14 in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center.
The show is free and open to the public, although tickets are required. They will be available daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Breen Student Union on campus starting Nov. 9. They can also be reserved by e-mailing grayburnme1@gcc.edu or williamsam1@gcc.edu; be sure to specify the date and time desired.
This year’s performance features 83 students. Led by head choreographers, senior Christianna Dawson of Valencia, Pa., and junior Cailin White of Shippenville, Pa., the show showcases styles ranging from hip-hop to ballet to partner to Irish.
During Orchesis’ fundraiser, “Dancing with the Stars,” students voted to see Dr. Roger Mackey, professor of education, dance with Dawson and White on stage during the 3 p.m. show on Nov. 14.
