CAREER AND GRADUATE SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES
The music department is devoted not only to educating students but also to helping them succeed in their profession. Music education majors student teach in public schools to gain experience in their field. Music majors have held internships with churches in their music programs and with various music-related businesses. After graduation, many students go on to take positions as music teachers in public or private schools, some become involved in retail businesses, and others have taken management positions in musicrelated fields. Graduates also go on to pursue advanced degrees in music.
