INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

We have had students do actuarial internships with Buck Consulting, Towers Perrin, and Erie Insurance. In addition, summer internships are available at State Farm Insurance Company in Illinois. State Farm visits GCC annually to recruit full-time employees and interns. State Farm assists interns with transportation and housing in Illinois. Internships are also available at Satec, Inc., a materials testing firm in Grove City; Armco, a specialties steel company in Butler; and Robinson Industries, a small heavy industry manufacturer in nearby Zelienople.

All internships are paid positions and academic credit is also available. Most companies hire their full-time employees directly from their internship programs.

CAREER AND GRADUATE SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES

The College has established a good track record with employers like Alcoa, Buck Consulting, USX, GE, Mellon Bank, PPG, Towers Perrin, and many others who have hired our graduates. There are many opportunities for our graduates in small or large businesses, industry, education, financial institutions, health care, government, military and others.

Graduate school is also an attractive option for the motivated student who wants to study mathematics further. Majors have attended graduate schools such as the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie-Mellon University, University of Illinois, University of Maryland, Akron University, and others.
