INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Independent studies, internships, and honors and seminar courses, provide a variety of opportunities for tailoring the curriculum to suit special educational goals. Additional academic opportunities include the Austrian Student Scholars Conference, guest lectures, and membership in the international economic honorary society, Omicron Delta Epsilon.

While teaching the role of economic thought in establishing and maintaining a good society, one founded on the Christian precepts of freedom, justice, and charity, the curriculum is also a rigorous preparation for graduate studies and careers in economics and related disciplines.

CAREER AND GRADUATE SCHOOL PLACEMENT

Many students successfully pursue advanced degrees after graduation opting mainly for studies in economics or law. Harvard University, the Universities of Chicago, Virginia, and Michigan, Wake Forest, Carnegie Mellon, and Temple Universities are some recent destinations for our graduates. Some students choosing a career path out of college have selected think tanks such as the Heritage Foundation, the Family Research Council, and the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, whose president is a GCC alumnus, while others have chosen the world of business, finance, and banking.
