INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Students may earn academic credit for work done off-campus under the supervision of a professional in a communication related field. Recent internships have included work in corporate communication, special events, public relations, advertising, library and information sciences, ministry, journalism, broadcasting, and publishing. Internships are most often completed during the summer and are a valuable stepping-stone to careers following graduation.
CAREER AND GRADUATE SCHOOL PLACEMENT
Recent graduates have gone on to jobs in journalism, public relations, management, marketing, graphic design, television, film, editing, publishing, technical writing, politics, and theatre. In the last few years, graduates have entered graduate or professional degree programs at Baylor, Case- Western Reserve, Emerson, Florida, George Mason, Kent State, University of Maryland, Northern Illinois, University of Pittsburgh, Regent, University of Toledo, among others.
