MUSIC STUDENTS TO PRESENT SENIOR RECITALS |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Three Grove City College music students will present their senior recitals next month. Sarah Seaman of Wind Gap, Pa., will perform at 7 p.m. Nov. 3. Lynn Ramsdell of Spartansburg, Pa., and Christopher S. Aitken of North Canaan, Conn., will perform in a joint recital at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 5. Both recitals will be in the Recital Hall of the Pew Fine Arts Center on the Grove City College campus.
Seaman, a daughter of Drew and Judy Seaman, will perform flute selections from Antonio Vivaldi, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Salomon Jadassohn, Francis Poulenc, Aaron Copland, Otar Taktakishvili, Georges-Huë and Franz Dopplar. A student of David Tessmer, Seaman will be accompanied by Mark Dickinson on the piano.
Ramsdell will perform vocal selections from George Frideric Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Charles-Marie Widor, Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann and Giacomo Puccini. A daughter of Michael and Kimberly Ramsdell and a student of Joanne McFarland, Ramsdell will be accompanied by pianist Elizabeth Ilyes.
Aitken, a son of Scott and Teresa Aitken and student of Dr. Beverly Carter, will perform piano selections from Johann Sebastian Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann and Poulenc.
Carter, senior Katherine Kirk of Pittsburgh, Pa., and the Grove City College Chamber Singers will also participate in the joint recital.
The recitals are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
