MUSIC STUDENTS TO PERFORM IN PRESTIGIOUS COLLEGE CHOIR |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College students will perform as members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops All-Star College Choir at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh on Thursday, Jan. 26, 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Jan. 27, 8 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 28, 8 p.m.; and Sunday, Jan. 29, 2:30 p.m.
Conductor Marvin Hamlisch, Grammy-nominated saxophonist Dave Koz, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the 70-member choir will perform classic movie selections, such as “Laura,” “The Trolley Song” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” Students participating in the choir include seniors Allison Baca and Nathan Perriello, juniors Peter Foster, Maggie Barr, Alyssa Klaum and Kevin Hanse, sophomores Kolby Martin and Sarah Boice and freshman George Barr.
For 15 years, Grove City College has sent music students to participate in the prestigious collegiate choir. Students are selected to attend by Dr. Douglas Browne, professor of music.
