MUSIC STUDENTS PERFORM OPERA WORKSHOP SELECTIONS |

Grove City College’s semiannual Opera Workshop performance in early May featured performances of students who selected portions of operas.
This semester’s performance featured scenes from “Carmen,” “Werther,” “The Bartered Bride,” “The Gypsy Baron,” Die Fledermaus,” “Princess Ida,” and “The Gondoliers.” The following students performed: senior Kathryn Meyer of Greenville, Pa.; sophomore Brian Jinks of New Huntingdon, Pa.; senior Robert Hackman of State College, Pa.; senior Ashley Ream of Palmyra, Pa.; sophomore Jessica VanDervort of Frederick, Md.; freshmen Leisl VanHaute of Towanda, Pa.; Shauna Staranko of Normalville, Pa.; Nicolette Hickly of Grove City, Pa.; and Casey Woodcock of Keller, Texas; and sophomores Stephanie Craft of Gibsonia, Pa.; and Ariana Thompson of Grove City.
The Opera Workshop is under the direction of Guest Lecturer in Music Susan M. Young and is offered during the fall the spring semesters each academic year.
