Auditions are held by appointment on Saturday college visitation or test days. Scheduled dates for 2011-2012 are:
SATURDAY
October 15 October 29 November 5
January 28 February 20 (MONDAY Presidents Day)
Alternate audition times must be scheduled through the music office. Every effort will be made to schedule your audition at an alternate time if you are coming to campus from a distance. The audition is required for admittance into the Music Department. While an in-person audition is preferred, a high quality DVD may be submitted when time or distance makes an in-person audition impossible. Upon completion of your audition, the Music Department will notify the Admissions Office that you have performed an audition and whether or not you are being recommended for acceptance by the Music Department. The Admissions Office makes the final decision on acceptances to the college. No decision will be made on your application by the Admissions Office if you have not completed your audition.
Applications for GCC Admission must be received by the Admissions Office November 15 for Early Acceptance and February 1 for Regular Acceptance. A personal interview with Admissions, 724-458-2100, is encouraged by the Music Department.
PLEASE NOTE:
ALL MUSIC AUDITIONS FOR EARLY DECISION MUST BE COMPLETED BY NOVEMBER 15.
ALL REGULAR DECISION MUSIC AUDITIONS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE FEBRUARY 24.
