GROVE CITY, Pa. – Dr. Paul Kengor, Grove City College political science professor and executive director of The Center for Vision & Values policy center, has released a new book, “The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism.”
Kengor’s book, released today and published by Regan Books/HarperCollins, is an examination of Reagan’s quest to bring down the Soviet Union. Kengor used extensive research, including newly declassified presidential papers, Soviet media archives and interviews with people involved, according to a release from Regan Books.
“While many have tried, few have succeeded in telling such a complete and thorough history of my dad’s greatest triumph: the downfall of the Soviet Union. A fascinating read – with all of the passion, intrigue, and fairness he would have wanted – ‘The Crusader’ is unlike any other book about him,” said Michael Reagan, Reagan’s son and talk show host.
Kengor is currently on a media tour to promote “The Crusader.” He is the author of “God and Ronald Reagan,” which was a “New York Times” Extended List bestseller, as well as “God and George W. Bush.” Kengor is a frequent television political commentator and opinion page contributor and his work has been featured in many publications including the “New York Times,” “USA Today,” “Washington Post” and “The Wall Street Journal.”
