Technology has become an increasingly essential part of College activities.  To meet these growing needs, Grove City College ’s Information Technology Services (ITS) Department continues to expand, offering a plethora of computer and technology resources on campus.  The ITS Department, located within the Technological Learning Center (TLC), provides support for students, faculty and staff in the areas of academic computing, administrative systems, development services, telecommunications, media services, photo identification cards, and training and support solutions. 

The College is fully wired for network access, providing students and employees with Internet connections from any computer on campus.  In addition to data ports and cabling in most classrooms, wireless access points throughout campus allow everyone to connect to the Internet wirelessly with their College-issued notebooks and tablet PCs.  Strategic placement of these access points grants seamless transition between most rooms and buildings, so that students can remain connected to the network while moving from one class to another.

College network accounts provide users with a wide range of campus computing resources, including the myGCC web portal, a central point of reference for all campus community members.  This online portal offers bulletins, announcements, usergroups, calendars and many other valuable resources.  Each student, faculty and staff member receives his or her account information upon arrival to campus.  For security reasons, passwords should be changed after the first login, and this information is to be kept confidential. 

The Computer Services & Support Desk, centrally located in the TLC, serves as the front-end to all computer system services and is open seven days a week.  Students and employees can contact the CSS Desk for assistance with any technical issues, including software or hardware problems, repairs to College-issued equipment, e-mail or network troubles, myGCC account questions, and the like.  The phone number is 724-458-2255 or 1-800-33-GROVE.
