GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College welcomes Dr. Eric Bancroft, assistant professor of mathematics, and his wife, Dr. Erin (Lukasiewicz ’07) Bancroft, assistant professor of mathematics. The pair will begin teaching in the fall semester of the 2011-12 academic year.
Dr. Eric Bancroft earned his A.A. from Seminole State College of Florida; B.S. in mathematics from the University of Central Florida; and M.S. and Ph.D. in mathematics from North Carolina State University. He will be teaching Calculus I and Calculus III in the fall and Differential Equations and Number Theory in the spring.
Bancroft defended his dissertation, “Production of Triangular Idempotents and Units,” in early June and his area of study is in Abstract Algebra.
Dr. Erin (Lukasiewicz ’07) Bancroft earned her B.S. in mathematics with certification in secondary education at Grove City College and her Master’s degree and Ph.D. in mathematics from North Carolina State University. In the fall, she will be teaching Business Calculus, Discrete Mathematics and Abstract Algebra. In the spring, Bancroft will teach Finite Math, Calculus II and Differential Equations.
Bancroft defended her dissertation, “Shard Intersections and Cambrian Congruence Classes in Type A,” in late June and she specializes in Combinatorics.
