GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College’s Oct. 14 Homecoming Parade route has been moved temporarily to accommodate the start of Grove City Revitalization, Inc.’s efforts on Broad Street.
The parade will begin near the intersection of Pine Street and Madison Avenue, turn onto the campus at the Pine Street entrance, wind through campus, exit the main entrance onto East Main Street and end near Robert E. Thorn Field. The parade will begin at 11 a.m.
Caroline Koopman, assistant director of alumni relations, said the new route will give parade viewers, including more alumni and students, an opportunity to see the parade “right in the heart of campus.”
This year’s Homecoming theme is “Get Back to Where You Once Belonged,” inspired by a Beatles album. Floats are following a “Nick at Nite” theme.
