How big of a role did the affordability of Grove City College play in your college decision making process?
The affordability of Grove City College made it stand out among the other small private colleges I was looking at.

How does the tuition cost of Grove City College compare to the other schools you looked at during your college selection?
Before any financial aid or scholarships, it was the same amount or less in tuition as other schools after I was considered for their scholarships, and that was huge especially for the quality of education offered here.

How has your faith been strengthened and perhaps even challenged during your time here?
The Christian community here is like nothing I have encountered before, and it has strengthened and expanded my faith by connecting me to other individuals who share the same values and beliefs. Each individual in this unique community is at a different place in their faith journey, which has challenged and pushed my own faith.

How is faith incorporated in the classroom?
The professors have the freedom and passion to incorporate faith into their courses, which takes the classroom experience to a whole new level of value and relevance in the community and world we live in. It gives meaning to education beyond that of academic success; education becomes an opportunity for personal development and renewal in the light of faith.

What drew you to choose biology as your major?
I had a previous interest in biology and was intrigued by the STEM facilities here and how the professors do not have to separate faith and science.

How do the academics challenge students to think on a deeper level about the world and life in general?
The courses equip students with the knowledge to think without telling them what to think, which allows students to formulate ideas beliefs about the world independently.

What are some of the ways that professors ensure that students not only receive information but truly learn and understand how to apply that information?
Working through applications of the information that was presented in lecture, in laboratory, and outside of class in office hours and recitation, ensures that the students understand the material on a deeper level. It is evident that the professors are willing to take the time out of their schedule to help the students.

What is your favorite aspect of Grove City College?
The tightly-knit community is my favorite aspect because I have made relationships here in what feels like a short amount of time, which have tremendous meaning in my life now.

Describe your experience with residence life at Grove City College, particularly freshman year.
Residence life has been phenomenal. It was my first experience sharing a room with someone for a long period of time (I have no sisters at home), and it helped me to grow and gave me friendships that I believe will last a lifetime. I’ve learned to love and accept every side of a person and that we were created to live and work together in a community.
