B.S. in Entrepreneurship, Minor in Communication Studies

How big of a role did the affordability of Grove City College play in your college decision making process?
Whether or not to attend college is a significant financial decision. I wanted to be sure that the school I attended gave me the best return on investment, and I truly believe Grove City College did that. With affordable tuition and room & board, and degree programs and career service assistance that insured job placement post-graduation, I believe my investment in Grove City College was worth every penny.

How is faith incorporated in the classroom?
It was refreshing to know that even when discussing business and ethics as a part of the curriculum at Grove City College that my professors viewed life and business through the same lens I did, and we could discuss Christian principals openly as a part of the decision-making process.

What drew you to choose entrepreneurship as your major?
I come from a family business background and had intentions to work in that business post-graduation. So even though I planned to join an established business, I felt that the entrepreneurship program gave me the best opportunity to learn about all aspects of business – management, finance, accounting, marketing, etc. - as well as give me insight into how to grow and expand business for future growth for my family.

What are some of the ways that professors ensure that students not only receive information but truly learn and understand how to apply that information?
Lots, and lots of group projects and real-world application. I had disdain for group projects, but now I see their value. So much of my work requires groupthink and collaborative efforts to complete projects, and I am a better team member because my professors promoted that teaching technique when I was a student.

What is your favorite aspect of Grove City College?
The lifelong friendships I made. Many of my sorority sisters, even though they live hundreds of miles away, remain my closest friends because of the relationships we fostered in college.

How active are students in campus activities such as intramural, Greek life, sports, clubs, musical productions, etc.?
Grove City College has a lot to offer outside of rigorous academics and I think most of the student body participates in some aspect of student life whether it is a sports team, sorority, fraternity, theater or dance group, or club related to their specific passion or future career goals.
