Alumni Travel: Wolves of Yellowstone

2/4/2019 - 2/10/2019
In the crisp air, amidst bare trees and the brilliant thermal features of Yellowstone National Park, the wildlife viewing in winter is better than any other time of year. The elements of nature are in full sway and its wild inhabitants are foraging, searching for warmth and survival.

Too long absent from their natural habitat and home in Yellowstone, wolves - once hunted to near extinction in the region - have returned to play their role in the ancient rhythms of the ecological landscape. Mysterious and mystical in Native American legend, the wolves have once again begun to thrive as essential predators and inhabitants of these still wild lands. Participants will have opportunities to observe, photograph, and study these magnificent wolf packs as they go about their daily lives: hunting, playing, and enjoying the close bonds with the other members of their family. A trip of a lifetime - not to be missed!
