GROVE CITY COLLEGE TO PERFORM THE BROTHERS KARAMAZOV |

GROVE CITY, Pa. – “The Brothers Karamazov” comes to life on the Grove City College main stage March 3-5 in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center on campus. Performances are 7:30 p.m. daily. Tickets are required but free of charge.
“The Brothers Karamazov,” dramatized by David Fishelson from the 1880 Russian novel by Fyodor Dostoevsky, is a spiritual drama of moral conflict, doubt and reason. Providing insights into philosophy and psychology, the drama captures the human condition through its depiction of the struggling Karamazov brothers.
The cast includes: Ivan Karamazov, played by senior Peter Jantsch of Beaver Falls, Pa.; Dmitry Karamazov, played by sophomore Jacob Roberts of Bronx, N.Y.; Fyodor Karamazov, played by sophomore Sam Leuenberger of Mercer, Pa..; Alyosha Karamazov, played by sophomore Joel Richardson of Butler, Pa.; Smerdyakov, played by junior Tyler Crumrine of Ligonier, Pa.; Katerina, played by junior Ashley Herreid of The Woodlands, Texas; and Grushenka, played by senior Kate (Weingartner) Wade of Mercer, Pa..
Dr. James G. Dixon III, chair of the department of English and professor of English, will direct the production. Senior Rebecca Sherman of Avon Lake, Ohio, will serve as student director and sophomore Laura Sabatini of Carlisle, Pa., as stage manager.
