Graduation Information
Your senior year is a busy time—completing your academic pursuits, extracurricular involvements, planning your life after GCC, socializing with all the friends you’ve made over the past three years. Before you know it, you’ll be processing in your cap and gown on the Quad with your fellow classmates to the music of “Pomp and Circumstance!” Listed below are important dates and information to assist you and your family in planning for this exciting time of your life. This information will be updated throughout the academic year as more information becomes available.

Luncheon following (Lunch is open to guests at $9.70 per person. Tickets available beginning April 9, 2012.)
- Both Baccalaureate and Commencement are to convene on the Quad. If it rains, both events will be held in the PLC Arena. All graduates will be issued four tickets for each event, which will only be needed if the events are held in the PLC Arena. If held in the arena, there is an overflow room down the hall featuring a big screen simulcast.
- Reminder: Now is the time to encourage friends and family to make hotel reservations. On campus housing will not be available for non-students during commencement weekend. Please see our Accommodations page for a list of local hotels. It may be necessary to expand your search beyond the Grove City area as many local hotels are already booked for graduation weekend. Seating Plans for Graduation 2012
Graduating students will each be given four (4) general admission tickets to each ceremony. Barring severe weather (such as thunderstorms or heavy downpours), the College is committed to holding these ceremonies outdoors even if there is some rain. If the particular ceremony is held indoors, however, guests must present tickets in order to be seated in the Arena, any guests without tickets will be directed to the overflow seating in the I.M. Room in the Physical Learning Center.
Any special needs requests for guests such as wheelchair access, sign language interpreter, etc. must be submitted by Monday, May 7, 2012 to Diana King in Student Life and Learning at dlking@gcc.edu. {Note: the guidelines regarding admission and tickets apply to these guests, as well.}
Seating will open at 5:45 p.m. on Friday for Baccalaureate and at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday for Commencement, whether outdoors or indoors.
Move-out on May 19
Graduating students have until 6 p.m. on May 19 to move-out of their Residence Halls. Please make every effort to pack your belongings in advance.
More information will be sent out via letter in February, 2012.
