GROVE CITY, Pa. – Grove City College will host renowned historian Philip Jenkins of Penn State University for the Humanities Speakers Series on Feb. 11 in the Sticht Lecture Hall of the Hall of Arts and Letters on campus.
Jenkins will give two addresses. His talk at 4 p.m. that day will focus on “The Emerging Global Christianity” and his lectures at 7 p.m. will be “What Will the Church Look Like in 2050.”
Jenkins is the author of 20 books, including “The Next Christendom: The Coming of Global Christianity;” “The New Faces of Christianity: Believing the Bible in the Global South;” “God’s Continent: Christianity, Islam, and Europe’s Religious Crisis;” and “The Lost History of Christianity: The Thousand Year Golden Age of the Church in the Middle East, Africa and Asia and How It Died.”
His talks are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.
